How to pay for your scouting
Subscription payments
Subscriptions are payable for all youth members. These help cover the costs of running the group and includes regular meetings, rent, storage, insurance, District/County/HQ costs and helps subsidise activities.
Subscriptions are currently £14.00 per month.
These are payable by monthly standing order, starting when a member is invested for the first time. You must set this up directly with your bank – leaders cannot do this for you.
Gift Aid
We are able to collect Gift Aid on your Subscription Payments. By signing up to gift aid, we can claim back 25% of subscriptions from HMRC if the donor is a UK tax payer.
If you are a UK taxpayer and are happy to Gift Aid your subscriptions, please see your Online Scout Manager page, or speak to a leader.

Event payments
While the majority of our weekly activities are covered by the subscription payments, there are some events that will require an additional charge.
Where this is the case, it will be clearly stated during the sign up process in Online Scout Manager.
Payments for these events will be made via the Online Scout Manager Online Payments system. Details will be automatically emailed to you when you sign up for an event.
