Scouts
10½ - 14 years old
Each Scout Troop consists of small units of six to eight Scouts called a Patrol, usually led by a Patrol Leader. The activities and adventures continue to get bigger and we start to give them more independence. Outdoor activities feature prominently, with the highlight being camping.
Throughout the year, Scouts learn various skills, such as map reading, camp cooking and first aid in preparation for camps as well as a wide range of other things, such as electronics, teamwork and important life skills.
We still recognise their efforts through badges and award schemes however there is a bigger emphasis on them to complete their awards themselves.
Hatch Warren Scouts
Here at Hatch Warren we have one Scout Troop. They hold their weekly meetings at the Hatch Warren Community Centre on Long Cross Lane, Hatch Warren.

Scout Promise & Motto
Scout Promise
The Promise is a simple way to help young people and adults celebrate their shared Scout values. Every Scout promises to stick by these values when they become a member.
The Scouts is open to people of all faiths and of none. We have different variations of our Promise, so everyone can make a Promise that means something to them, no matter their background or belief.
On my honour,
I promise that I will do my best,
to uphold our Scout values, to do my duty to The King,
to help other people,
and to keep the Scout Law.
On my honour,
I promise that I will do my best
to seek refuge in the Triple Gem, to do my duty to The King,
to act with compassion towards all life
and to keep the Scout Law.
On my honour,
I promise that I will do my best,
to do my duty to God and to The King,
to help other people,
and to keep the Scout Law.
On my honour,
I promise that I will do my best,
to follow my dharma and do my duty to The King,
to act with compassion towards all life,
and to keep the Scout Law.
On my honour,
I promise that I will do my best,
to uphold our Scout values, to do my duty to The King,
to help other people,
and to keep the Scout Law.
On my honour,
I promise that I will do my best,
to do my duty to God and to The King,
to help other people,
and to keep the Scout Law.
In the name of Allah, the most beneficent and the most merciful,
I promise that I will do my best,
to do my duty to Allah and then to The King,
to help other people,
and to keep the Scout Law.
On my honour,
I promise that I will do my best,
to do my duty to Waheguru and to The King,
to help other people,
and to keep the Scout Law.
